How do I schedule my headshot session? The best way to schedule is to give us a call at the studio at 919.349.6512. We will go over any questions that you may have and match up calendars. Our schedule changes daily with new appointment bookings which makes it difficult to schedule via email. Standard packages require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve your session and the remaining balance is due the day of the shoot. If your package is on special then the full amount must be paid at the time of scheduling and once again is non refundable.  

What is your rescheduling and refund policy? All deposits and payments are non- refundable. This guarantees that your reservation is held just for you as well as that we are only booking clients who are serious about showing up for their sessions. If for some reason you need to reschedule you have 90 days to do so without forfeiting your deposit. If you are rescheduling without a 7 day notice there is a $25 rescheduling fee that will be applied to your account. Any additional extensions will only be made with owner consideration and an extension fee may applied.

What payment methods do you accept? We accept cash, check, Visa, and MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.  

Where are the sessions done? Most sessions traditionally take place at our main studio in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are also able to offer commercial and headshots sessions at your business or at a location of your choice. Additional fees may apply to on location shooting. 

When are you open? We are open Monday thru Friday and take our first appointment at 9:30 and our last at about 3:30 depending on session type.

 

What do I bring? The amount of changes you should bring depends on which package you select. We always advise to bring more than you think and then we can help with the final selections at the studio. Items to not forget would be shoes and jewelry as they help your "look" be more complete. While we do not keep an abundance of generic props here we do encourage items from home that you may want to incorporate into your shoot to give it a personal touch.

How do I select photos from my session? Depending on the time of your photo session as well as our availability we may be able to conduct your post print consultation within minutes after your shoot.  Simply let us know at the time of scheduling if you are interested.  Otherwise we will schedule your post print within 1-2 business days.  A standard post print consultation is provided by a client services representative and takes between 45-60 min.  During this time we will showcase all of the images from your shoot, present to you our pricing as well as assist you in narrowing down your selections for whatever prints or products you would like to purchase.

Can I purchase digital files? Finished, high-resolution, digital files are available individually or at a discounted rate for the entire collection. All digital images come with a copyright release form for printing and web usage. Pricing varies based on package selected.

Can I snap a few with my camera? We DO NOT allow ANY personal photography during your session including but not limited to digital cameras, cell phone cameras and video. Violators will be asked to leave immediately and will forfeit ALL deposits, certificates, and coupons and may only reschedule with owners consideration.

What happens when I arrive for my session? When you show up to your session, we will take a few minutes to talk, look at the outfits you’ve selected, and quickly organize a shoot outline. We will conduct the session in a very professional matter and will instruct every pose and offer direction in facial expression. So leave any worries on "what to do" at home!

Should I come early? Revolution Studios sets up appointments based on the studios availability with built in time for items like getting settled, administrative paperwork, etc... that won’t interfere with your shooting time. While we need you to be on time to your session please know that we book our appointments back to back so you may have to wait in our waiting area if we are not quite ready for you.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy? All cancellations or rescheduling must be done with a 1 week notice otherwise a $25 rescheduling fee will be applied. Due to our back to back scheduling, please note that any client who is 10 or more minutes late, will automatically be rescheduled with our rescheduling fees applied. Clients who do not show for their appointments, forfeit their deposits, certificates, and coupons and may only reschedule with owners consideration.

Do you offer hair and make-up services? Hair design and make-up artistry services are available for an additional fee to enhance your final product. Let's face it...we are not all experts in make-up or how to enhance our look while working against strong lights and flashes. Not to worry…we have experts that can help! Our stylists apply your make-up specific for a photo session to ensure your final product is WOW!!! Please plan on arriving to your session with clean and dry hair and face including no face lotion! It is ok to apply your normal hair products however our stylists reserve the right to reschedule should you not be “styling ready”".

Should I tan before my session? While spray tanning or fake baking prior to your session may bring a confidence, please keep in mind that this enhancement may actually be holding us back. Modern technology gives professionals great tools such as filters, digital airbrushing, and skin softening processes, which make skin tones look their absolute best. That being said, tanning of any sorts in excess may make you appear very orange in your photos. Moderation is the definitely the ticket! Be confident in our techniques and as they are a much better enhancement choice!
